Americans don’t know rules of the road

Yes, but 60-65 is not really that old… Where are the test scores from 75-85-year-olds? Also, know what you should do on paper is a completely different ball game than putting it into practice when you’re actually out on the road… Reaction times decrease with age, which is why I strongly believe people over 75 should have to retake a version of the road test every 2-3 years to renew their licenses…

US mother [finally] convicted in baby’s microwave death
This is utterly disgusting, and what adds to my disgust is the fact that it took three trials to finally convict her! Thank goodness OH is a death penalty state… I hope they fry her so she can get a taste of her own medicine! The cruelty some “parents” are capable of inflicting on their own children will never cease to astound me!

Bin Laden’s death a tough subject for the pulpit
I found this article very interesting, as I was just talking about the same thing with my parents this weekend… Don’t get me wrong, I know Osama Bin Laden was a very bad man. He deserved to die, and I’m glad he’s dead. He deserves to spend an eternity burning in hell, and I have no doubt that he is doing just that. However, as a Christian, I am troubled by how happy I am with the fact that someone is burning in hell. I didn’t kill thousands of people or ignite terror in millions more, but I am a sinful human and, if I got what I truly deserve, I would be burning right along with him when I die… I’m so thankful for God’s grace and mercy!

Underrepresented subset of greeting card consumers
My dad’s birthday is coming up at the end of the month, followed soon by Fathers’ Day. It is always hard to find just the right cards for him, and while scouring the card racks at the store today it occurred to me that there is a subset of greeting card consumers that remains sorely untapped...
When is Hallmark going to start making cards for the kids who didn't have great relationships with their dads? Where are the cards that say, 'I will always love you for the simple fact that you gave me life, and I really appreciate the effort you're putting forth now, but that doesn't change the fact that you were too wrapped up in yourself to be a present parent during my formative years. I’ve forgiven you, but I'm not going to lie and give you a card touting how you've always been a great father, and how so much of who I am today is because of you... Unless, of course, you count the part that doesn't trust men and runs away from commitment.'
Breastfeeding baby doll: Educational or freaky?
I have mixed feelings on this. I really don’t understand the point of buying a special doll with sound effects and a strap-on bra with floral nips, when you can play the same thing with a regular doll. I think it is the flower nippled bra that creeps me out.
